Philip Kingsley Elasticizer 1 Litre £63.00 from QVC, also available on Easy Pay for £15.75 for 4 months. Check it out here.

Hey Lovelies

Hope you are all having a fantastic day!  I am in a reasonably good mood as I woke up with less spots this morning! If that's not a good reason to celebrate then I don't know what is.

In recent months while I was stuck in bed, I found myself watching QVC Beauty HD (exclusive to Freeview Channel 112). I can't say I was a fan initially as they've always came across as a little dull. So I am actually going to do a brand review on them soon. But what I did discover (and was shocked by) was how many wonderful brands they actually stock and in some amazing sizes!  One of those is this Philip Kingsley Elasticizer.

I have tried this before, many years and years ago when I was in my early twenties (sob). I think my mum actually had it and I robbed some off her (sorry mum). But I really cant remember if I actually liked it or not. But knowing me, I probably used it the wrong way anyway.

This is what QVC Beauty say about the Elasticizer..

Elasticizer from Philip Kingsley. This is Philip Kingsley's hero product and the basis of his haircare regimes. It delivers a rush of moisture inside the hair cuticle and increases manageability, by smoothing the outer layer of the hair shaft sealing in moisture to give a sleek and silky texture. Keep your hair looking gorgeous and feeling great with this fabulous treatment.
Specially created for Hollywood royalty - Elasticizer was originally created by Philip Kingsley for legendary actress Audrey Hepburn, who wanted a super-moisturising treatment that would repair her hair and keep it in great condition throughout the frequent colouring and styling done to her hair on movie sets.

First of all I need to talk about the size of this product, a huge 1 litre bottle will last me for months and it wouldnt surprise me to still have this bottle by the end of summer.  My hair is quite short now and when I used it for the first time I only used a couple of pumps. QVC are the only store selling Elasticizer in a 1 litre bottle!

Ok so I actually read the instructions on the bottle this time! And I am so glad I did as this actually is a pre-treatment. You wet your hair then apply in sections. Once you have worked it into your hair you put on a plastic cap and leave it in for 10 -20 minutes. Now my hair is dry and damaged; Philip Kingsley recommends that if you have fine or medium textured hair to apply it sparingly through mid lengths and ends. If you have coarse wavy curly or frizzy hair, then use more on your hair lengths.

What do I think of this? I love it! My hair was so shiny after just one use and actually felt like hair. I have said similar things about the Ouai Haircare range that I tried out recently, but the difference with this was my hair actually had weight and moved 'like hair' instead of being very light and soft. I'm actually struggling to describe the effects, but one thing I can say is that I had no need for straighteners after using this. My hair was that good after one treatment and settled into place without effort.

I always think its hard to review hair products as we don't all have the same hair type. The same can be said for skincare. So what I love, might not be as great for your skin or hair.  You can get this product in smaller sizes and that might be a better option if you've not used this before.

Would love to hear from you if you have used this!!
