Pixi | Rose Flash Balm

Pixi Rose Flash Balm £26.00 at Cult Beauty

Hey lovelies!

I've been busy today planning out my blogging for the next two months so feeling like I have finally pulled my finger out and done something today, but I still need to go to my mum's and put her Christmas decoration's up...

I have had Pixi Rose Flash Balm for over a month now and I have let some of my friends test it with me,  just to get a few more opinions. I am actually quite shocked that I have loads left as a little goes a long way.

There are three ways to use this balm...moisturiser, primer and as a mask. Before I talk about those I just want to talk about the consistency.  I did think as this was a "balm" that it would be thicker! So I really was surprised at how light this is and how truly gorgeous it smells.  Fresh roses sexy and light!

This is what Pixi says about Rose Balm Flash..

The perfect pick-me-up for tired, lacklustre skin, this radiance-boosting, multitasking balm targets signs of fatigue in a flash. Benefiting from beautifully brightening rose – both rosa centifolia flower water and rose extract – as well as softening olive leaf extract and soothing witch hazel, this 3-in-1, oil-free, swiftly absorbing formula instantly moisturises and revitalises. It can be used as desired but is particularly good as a treatment primer, prepping skin perfectly for make up application, or as an uplifting, energising mask.

Moisturiser..

I love using this as a moisturiser when I have just woke up and look like Gollum! It makes my face look brighter and more awake plus the smell just makes you feel so good!  It does hydrate your skin well and can be used on its own or over or under your normal moisturiser for a little boost.  As it says on the bottle, it really does wake up your skin...I even put it in the fridge once to make it ultra super duper awakening!

Primer...

I use a small amount and put a thin layer all over my face, a little less than I would if I was using it for a moisturiser.  I have used four different foundations over this and all have worked really well and they lasted all day on my skin, sometimes my foundation clings to my dry patches and looks bad but the balm really made it look flawless.

Mask...

Out of all the ways you can use this the mask is my favourite!  I feel like my skin really does benefit from this mask and when I wipe it away my skin feels conditioned and it glows. To be honest I don't really remove it I just let it soak in over time.  It says to apply a thick layer on the box which I do but probably not as much as I should....save those pennies!

The benefits I get from this mask are beautifully conditioned and brightened skin plus any dullness is gone and I even feel better in myself after using this mask, I think that's down to the rose fragrance!

Overall I really love this balm, I love the fact it is multi functional.  It makes my skin glow and I have had compliments after using the balm, It can't get any better than that.  All of my friends who used this loved the effects but some didn't like the rose scent, can't win them all.

Now time for me to clean this very messy house, but I think I will put this balm on for a little treat!
