Primark Beauty | PS My Perfect Colour range.
PS My Perfect Colour BB Cream in Ivory £4.00, My Perfect Colour Perfect Finish Foundation in Vanilla £2.50 and My Perfect Colour Liquid Concealer in Cool Sand £2.00.
I've had these for a couple weeks now and used I've them on and off in that time. Since I started buying Primark's beauty range I have been really impressed with most of it, only a few bits that I didn't like *cough 'Strobing Kit' cough*!
I'll split each item up and tell you what I think then do an overall at the end of the post, I'll try my best not to ramble on this time (I say that with every single post!)
PS My Perfect Colour Perfect Finish Foundation £2.50.
All of the Primark foundations I have tried so far I have loved, and this one is no different! I have been comparing this one to the PS PRO one I reviewed a few weeks ago (link here). This one is a medium coverage foundation, but it did manage to hide some of my more prominent spots, which is amazing! I applied this using a brush and a sponge; and I say using a sponge makes this more flawless but you do use more product. Using a brush takes a little while longer to buff it into your skin, but I found I used less.
I expected this to be quite light in feel but it still felt like I was wearing a foundation, just no so heavy. I have worn this with and without powder and when I use powder the foundation will last me all day, but without I tend to sweat this off within a couple of hours. But I also have the same problem with high end foundations.
As it says on the bottle, it does give you a semi matte finish that looks really pretty. Definitely a 'my skin but better' finish would be a better description. As I said above, it did cover some of my spots and partially covered my under eye circles. I think I had shade issues with this though. I need one a little lighter then mix both together, but the beauty department in my local Primark looked like it had been ransacked.
Overall this foundation is amazing for £2.50! You get what it says on the bottle, medium coverage and a semi matte finish. It covered some of my spots and lightened my dark circles a little, so it did cover more than I thought it would. I will be buying this in more shades.
PS My Perfect Colour BB Cream £4.00.
I have had a love-hate relationship with BB Creams. Some I've loved and some I hated with a passion. It got so bad that I stopped buying them in favour of light foundations mixed with a moisturiser. I was apprehensive about this one, really couldn't understand why this was £4 and the foundation was £2.50!?!? Still don't know why to be honest!
When I first applied this I was in love straight away. At the time my skin was looking grey and dry but this just made my complexion glow! Really it did! It evened out my skin tone and even gave me some light coverage on spots and rosacea. It also has a SPF of 25 which I was really impressed with. Most budget BB Creams are SPF 15.
I have worn this on its own and under foundation as a primer. When I use it alone, I apply with my fingers and lightly massage in. It does sit on your skin a little bit but it doesn't feel heavy or greasy. Sometimes this is all I will wear, alongside some lipstick and mascara.
The only downside I found with this was its longevity. The coverage it gives you does not last all day, even with powder. I found I could apply this at 9 am and it will have gone by 1pm.
Overall, I love this stuff on its own and especially as a foundation primer. It gives light coverage on any spots or rosacea on your skin when worn on its own. The only negative is that it doesn't last long even with powder, so if you don't mind reapplying throughout the day, give this a go.
PS My Perfect Colour Liquid Concealer £2.00
I fecking love this concealer!... That's the review done! Kidding, but that is the truth. I adore this concealer. It has covered my dark eye circles almost completely. I think if I got a lighter shade then it would cover them all the way.
The applicator is like a liquid lipstick one. Just flat on both sides instead of a 'doe foot' one. Application is piss easy and it doesn't apply a shit load. I hate some concealers due to their applicators squirting out an excess load... such a waste.
Now when I got this they only had the shade 'Cool Sand' left. I am still after the Porcelain one as I think that would brighten my face up and cover the more industrial strength spots that I have.
The tube says this is a Medium Coverage concealer but it definitely is more than that. It also contains Vitamin E and Aloe Vera so I suppose that's nice. But I am more interested in coverage! I have been trying to get more information about the shade range of this concealer and I can't find anything definitive, so if you know anything please comment below.
I have been using this concealer alongside the BB Cream and the foundation. This blends well into both and lasts ages too. I have used it alone for under my eyes and on my spots and the coverage lasts all day - as long as your not constantly touching your face, whooops!
Overall I am loving this and it reminds me of the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, which has a cult like following now (link here). I want to buy all of the shades now and have a play around with them. Maybe i'll try contouring too?
I have really loved playing around with this range. I know there are a few items in it that I've not got hold of yet, but hopefully next time I am in town I will pick up the rest, along with the other shades of concealer.
Have you tried any of this range? Let me know what you thought.
