It's been a tiring few days. We celebrated Isabella's 4th birthday and just had a good time 'as a family'. Feeling a little off today, but wanted to get my August favourites out even if they are a little late.
So let's jump right in!
FUN Lacquer Unicorn Island and Triple 5 Treatment
The 'Triple 5' Treatment was something I bought not expecting too much but really wanted to try it. At some point I am going to do a stand alone post about this treatment.
I have been using this as a base coat for 3 weeks or so and I have to say my nails do feel a little stronger for it. They don't feel as bendy as they used to. I know you can make your nails too strong, so I may stop using it soon to see if there is any difference. This is on my favourites right now, as I am loving the stronger nails it has given me and the fact it covers all my ridges on my nails too!
Oh K Sheet Masks
I have been loving 'Oh K' sheet masks and not just the one pictured, I have just used this pack as an example. I love Korean culture and South Korean beauty is becoming more well known worldwide! This is how the brand is described on Feel Unique...
Inspired by Hallyu 韓流 which literally means "flow of Korea" referring to the ever increasing popularity of South Korean culture, Oh K! is an innovative beauty range. Capturing the essence of Korean beauty style with its carefully curated colour palette, quirky products, super cute characters and playful packaging, Oh K! is designed to bring you happiness every day!
I love to use these on chill out nights when I'm lying in my bed with my headphones on. Every time I have used these masks my skin has felt soft and cleansed without feeling dry as well as a gorgeous glow, and there are a tonne of choices! I bought a load of these a while ago and I tried to ration myself to one a week, but ended up using them every night for almost two weeks! If you like a sheet mask these are really worth taking a look at!
Quick tip! Putting these in the fridge for half an hour before use makes them feel even better!
The Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask.
I have already done a separate post about this fantastic mask so I'll just quickly cover what I like about it. I love how it makes my skin feel clean and fresh without any dryness and I glow after using it for a few days! Even though its not really meant for spots, I feel like it has really helped clear mine along with a mix of other items from the Body Shop range.
This is an expensive mask but if you apply it with a brush you will use less. I have been using this a lot hence why it's on my favourites, but I have not even used half of the jar yet. If you want to invest in a good mask this one really is worth it.
Primark PS The Perfect Colour Liquid Concealer in Cool Sand.
In the last month I have been trying out lots of Primark makeup and I've been so surprised at how good most of it is, but nothing can touch this concealer for me. It has been brilliant at covering my under eye circles! I just wish I could catch the lighter shade in stock, I think its called Porcelain. Not had a chance to go back to Primark since. This stuff resembles Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer to me and at £2.00 you cant go wrong!
The applicator is like a liquid lipstick which makes it quite easy to apply. I usually add some translucent powder underneath my eyes after I have applied the concealer to set it.
The Body Shop Anti-Imperfection Night Mask
This is another product I have very recently reviewed. I have had such a renewed interest in Body Shop products recently. Everything that I have tried have been excellent, but this has been the most used and best item out of them all. For a few months my skin had become an awful mess. I was covered in spots and psoriasis and it was making me so depressed.
I bought some of the Tea Tree range from The Body Shop and it all helped a little, but this helped the most. When I first used this, I applied it all over my face. I soon realised that was such a waste as my spots were mainly on my chin. So now I only apply this directly to my chin. You sleep in it and wake up and its all been absorbed. Your spots appear smaller every time you use it and now i've only got a few left that are harder to see.
Out of all my favourites I think this is my 'ultimate' favourite, it has done so much for my skin and if you suffer with spots too, you must give this a try.
Liz Earle Colour Sheer Skin Tint in 01 Bare.
I have used this on and off for years. Sometimes I have loved it, sometimes I have thought it was crap, but I always end up repurchasing it! This is in my favourites because it has always made my skin look naturally gorgeous, it offers little coverage, its lightweight and can instantly even your skin tone. This is a 'barely there' skin tint, you cant really call it a foundation.
It's also packed full of Vitamin E and has a SPF of 15. I think the reason I can love this so much, and then hate it is because I sometimes want this to have more coverage and then I get angry when it doesn't. It's almost like I expect the formula to change in the bottle magically! Liz Earle does have another foundation that I would also like to try and maybe one day I will get around to it.
Starilly Menchie The Cat Nail Polish
I have said that FUN Lacquer Unicorn Island is my polish favourite and it is, but this one is probably a close second along with FUN Lacquer Northern Lights. This polish was named after YouTuber Simply Nailogical's cat. You can check out her channel here. It is a glitter nail polish with silver holographic micro glitter in a light pink tinted base. I love how this polish shines in direct light. All the holo looks amazing. I am actually on my second bottle of this polish.
I probably wear this at least once a month or so. Some people wont think that's a lot, but I own around 250+ nail polishes! It's rare I go back to one more than once every few months. You need 2 coats of this polish to be fully opaque.
That's it! My August favourites, you may see some of these in future months too as I can be a little repetitive with certain favourites! (That's why they are... well you get the point).
Do you like any of my favourites?
