Frezyderm Sun Screen Velvet Face SPF 50 £17.50 at Frezyderm.co.uk and Kids Sun Care SPF 50 £18.50 from Frezyderm.co.uk
I'm on a roll with posts this week! Feeling good mentally for a change and I think it helps when the sun is out! Which is why I'm finally getting round to talking about my Frezyderm sunscreens.
I'll just talk briefly about the brand. Frezyderm is a Greek brand that initially started in the UK in 2015, but only really started selling their products here in 2016. They do more than just sunscreens. They do a lot of normal skincare items, as well as a range for babies and children. I even found toothpaste on their website, so they definitely do a large range of products. It's worth a look and this is their UK website here.
Now, before I start with the review, I will tell you I was send these two products from PR company. I really wanted to make sure I said that before going into anything. I was really excited to get these products as I won't leave the house in summer without sunscreen on my face.
Right lets get into it!
Starting with the Sun Screen Velvet Face SPF 50...
My first impression of this stuff was that this is overpriced for a facial sunscreen. At the time, my usual facial sunscreen La Roche Posay Anthelios SPF 50 was on offer all the time from various websites, the current price for it is £11.55. But once I actually tried it I just fell in love with it, I have not tried a sunscreen similar to this, it has a consistency that is hard to really describe, it almost feels like a jelly.
You only need two pumps of this for your whole face. Once you apply it, it almost disappears into your skin and amazingly it lessens the look of some of my wrinkles!! All this from just a sunscreen! After seeing that effect I decided I would apply my foundation on top and see how that looked and I was so surprised. It works like a primer, almost like Benefit Professional.
I did assume that I would break my skin out after using this, as I did with the La Roche Posay one at first and it didn't, not a single spot. The sunscreen part of it works great. I was in the sun all day wearing this and I didn't get any sunburn, I did on my chest though, I forgot to put it there oooops!
On the bottle of this sunscreen it says 'second skin' and it truly does feel like that on your face! The only thing I do not like is the smell. But you only get that smell when you first pump it out of the bottle, the smell goes once you rub it in.
Overall this is a fantastic facial sunscreen. A little goes a long way and can be used under foundation as a primer that makes your makeup look beautiful, fills in your wrinkles a little too and the sunscreen itself works all day. It is an expensive sunscreen but when I put it side by side with my La Roche Posay one, this one lasts longer. I have taken a description from Frezyderm's website that gives you all the extra little information about this fab sunscreen.

Here is a pic of how it looks pumped out onto the skin
Let's start on Kids Sun Care SPF 50
If your a regular reader of my blog you will know I have three children, but to be honest I only ever show pictures of Isabella as shes the only one who will let me take pictures!
I do tend to go through a lot of kids sunscreen. Whenever we are at the beach or at an outdoor pool I am constantly reapplying it, but that's what you do with sunscreen as I don't think I've ever found a truly waterproof one.
When I first applied this new one on to Isabella I found the consistency thicker than any other sunscreen for kids I have used, it also has a fresh scent which is lovely. One pump for each limb and one for chest and back, that sounds like a lot but it's less than the Nivea one we usually use. That one is so watery it takes a lot to cover the whole body.
Isabella was in and out of her paddling pool that day and I kept checking her skin, I could still smell and feel the sunscreen and I was surprised by that. We were out in the garden the whole day and I probably reapplied three times. Like the facial sunscreen, I do find I use less of this compared to other sunscreens.
This sunscreen is colour and parabens free, it has so many little extras that I would rather you read them at the website than me explain them wrong, so here is the product description.
This high factor sunscreen provides effective, water resistant protection and is ideal for children with sensitive skin or skin conditions. It delivers long-lasting, continuous protection against UV rays and other environmental pollution. It shields the DNA and strengthens its repair mechanisms. It protects against photoimmunosupression and provides effective antioxidant protection.
This one is expensive but I think its worth the investment as I didn't have to constantly reapply this like some other sunscreens...think I am repeating myself now whoops.
This is what it looks like when you pump it onto your skin
All in all I really love these two sunscreens. Brilliant quality, and have lasted me really well since I was sent them. I have probably only used a third of a bottle since June! That could also be down to the British weather.
Have you tried Frezyderm? Would love to know your thoughts.
