Sleek Makeup Highlighting Palette in Solstice.
Sleek Makeup Highlighting Palette in Solstice..£9.99 from Superdrug.com
I finally got it! I have been searching for this palette for a month now and in most places its been out of stock or I've not had enough money on me. I first saw this on a favourites video by Jeffree Star on YouTube, he is addicted to highlighters and likes to try them all out.. drugstore/budget or high end.
When he said on his video that he had found something from the UK that was drugstore priced I was all ears, he picked up this little gorgeous golden palette and it looked so pretty..I am a sucker for packaging with makeup.
Ecliptic is a cream highlighter, looks rosy gold when applied to your face, I like to go over that shade with my Peaches & Cream Halo Highlighter. Mixing those two together gives you a glow that you can see from space!
Equinox is a little like Ecliptic, it has a lot more gold pigment in it. I have not used this one on my cheeks as I don't think it will suit me, but it looks gorgeous as an eyeshadow, especially if you blend it with a brown shade. I like to put a brown shade on then put this on top in the middle of my eyelid, it looks so pretty.
Hemisphere is definitely the highlighter in this palette I use most on my face, its a pinky silver shade that looks gorgeous in the light. Out of all the highlighters in this palette, I think this is the most pigmented.
Subsolar is a more yellow toned highlighter, it looks really pretty on my skin, usually I wouldn't use a yellow toned highlighter on my face but I'm glad I did. The only bad thing I have to say about this one is it feels a little chalky compared to the others in this palette, I don't know if its just me, would love to hear from any of you if you think the same.
All the colours are so pretty, blend beautifully and feel buttery when you touch them, Subsolar feels a little chalky but is still well pigmented and blend able, my favourite one out of all the highlighters in this palette is Hemisphere.
This is such a brilliant palette for a budget brand and I would recommend it to everyone, there is literally a highlighter for any skin tone in here!
I have had quite a bit of Sleek Makeup now and to be honest there isn't much that I have not really liked, their eyeshadows are brilliant (bar a little bit of fallout) and I am in love with their matte lipsticks, after getting this highlighter palette, I think I need to try the other two!
Have you got this? What did you think? Let me know :)
