Charlotte Tilbury The Perfect Red Kiss Gift Set in So Marilyn..

Charlotte Tilbury The Perfect Kiss Gift Set in So Marilyn...£49 at

Hey guys and gals!  This is my first proper post in months, I have recently been ill and now i'm getting better, I want to get blogging again. Got loads of new stuff to talk about, but today I am starting with this gorgeous gift set I got for my birthday.

I love Charlotte Tilbury; her makeup, her ethos, she is such a brilliant makeup artist. I would love to own more of her makeup but it is on the more pricey side, So mean I wasn't shocked when I discovered this gift set was £49. I know i'm paying for a better quality and some gorgeous packaging, but I just wish I could afford more.

Top is the lip pencil called Kiss n Tell
Middle is lip lustre/lacquer in Red Vixen
Bottom is the lipstick called So Marilyn

I'm in love with the lipstick in this set, and also love the name 'So Marilyn!' It's a gorgeous bombshell red that gets me lots of compliments, I have had so many people asking me what i'm wearing on my lips. It's a blue toned red, which is better for me as more orange toned reds can make me look a little washed out!

The formula in the lipstick is fantastic after application and blotting it lasted for hours. It only needed touching up after eating and drinking like most lipsticks do. This has been my 'go to' red since I got it. I have to keep reminding myself to use some of the others I got for Christmas but I just keep coming back to this one.

The lip lacquer/gloss is nice... though I am not so sure about it, to be honest with you. It's quite sticky and feels very thick on my lips. It does have a lot of colour and the shade looks great on my lips, but I don't like the feel, as it's just too heavy and sticky for me. I have used it a couple of times and even put it over the lipstick once, but I think this will be one of the lip products of mine that will end up at the bottom of my drawer and stay there.

As for the lip pencil, well it's fantastic! At first I thought it was a little too hard and wasn't going to apply very easily but once I got started it applied fine without tugging. The formula is quite hard and really doesn't budge once you apply it. I've been practicing with this lip liner; trying to make my lips bigger and so far i'm pleased with the results! I also find if I am using this with the 'So Marilyn' lipstick, my lippy doesn't bleed at all. After writing that I'm thinking "well duh Raych, that's what its for."  I really would like to get more Charlotte Tilbury lip pencils...definitely on the top my list!

Overall I know Charlotte Tilbury is a bit expensive and not everyone can afford them, but if you can occasionally treat yourself to something special from her range, then the Perfect Kiss gift sets are a fantastic buy!

Do you love Charlotte Tilbury?  What do you think.
