Being Blonde....Mostly

Still midway through my blonde journey it seems...

After quite a lot of bleaching and dying and bleaching again, and more colouring, this is the shade that I have right now.

I love the colour from my roots to half way down my hair, then it becomes a ginger/orange colour which I have tried and tried to bleach out but I don't think my hair could take another bleaching so unfortunately, I have to leave it as it is now and just get my hair cut every couple of months till its eventually cut out.

My advice to anyone who wants to become blonde, and really wants to do it at home, please research as much as you can, don't do it impulsively like I did, don't buy the box dyes, go online to a hairdressing suppliers and get the peroxide and bleaching powder from there, not only will it be cheaper in the end, you wont have to bleach over and over again.

Also, do this slowly, don't damage your hair by bleaching loads of times in one day like I did, leave your roots till last as they will change the quickest, if I could do it over again, I would bleach every week, with lots of deep conditioning going on in between it.

My overall thoughts on this are, if your going to do it at home, take your time, but if you can afford it, go to a hairdressers, my hair has sustained quite a lot of damage, that you can see in the pictures above.

I hope this helps anyone who is considering going blonde and doing it at home.

Thanks for reading x
